Personal Loans
Not everything needs to be secured against a home. Personal lending, compared across the panel rather than whatever a single bank quotes you.

Most of what Avala Finance arranges is secured lending: a mortgage, a car, a piece of equipment. Personal loans are the exception: unsecured finance for the things that don't fit neatly against an asset, or where using home equity isn't the right call.
That mainly means two things: rolling several existing debts (credit cards, a car loan, a BNPL balance) into one simpler repayment (worth checking it doesn't cost more overall), or funding a one-off cost without touching the equity in your home.
The same process applies as everywhere else on this site: your situation goes to the panel, not just one bank, and Marko talks you through what actually comes back.

- Debt consolidationRolling multiple unsecured debts into one repayment. This is distinct from using home equity, which is covered under Equity Access & Debt Consolidation.
- Life-event & major purchase lendingRenovation, wedding, medical or other significant one-off costs.
- A compared rate, not a first offerThe same panel-comparison approach applied to unsecured lending, before you accept what one bank or point-of-sale lender quotes you.
Good fit if
- You don't want to (or can't) draw on home equity
- You're juggling several existing debts and want them combined into one repayment
- You want a rate compared before accepting a point-of-sale finance offer
Worth knowing
- Unsecured personal loan rates are typically higher than secured home lending
- Approval and rate depend heavily on your existing credit history
Questions about personal loans
What can a personal loan be used for?
Consolidating debts, a wedding, travel, medical costs, or other large expenses. Unsecured personal loans don't need an asset as security.
Secured or unsecured: what's the difference?
A secured personal loan is backed by an asset, such as a car, which usually means a lower rate. An unsecured loan doesn't need security but usually costs more.
Does consolidating debt with a personal loan help?
It can replace several high-interest balances, like credit cards, with one repayment and a fixed end date. It only helps if the old cards are closed or kept clear.
How much can I borrow?
It depends on your income, expenses, existing debts and credit history. Each lender assesses it differently, which is why comparing across the panel matters.
